Lochee United bounced back from their defeat away to Irvine Meadow Saturday past, hitting four goals past visitors Newburgh in a very entertaining friendly match at Thomson Park.

Lochee Uniteds third pre-season friendly ended in a heavy defeat on Saturday as they went down 7-3 to a classy Irvine Meadow at Meadow Park.
Despite an evenly matched first half, it was Lochee that went in a halftime 2-1 to the good, then the goal rout came in the second period.

Lochee United travel on Saturday to Irvine where they meet West Super League side Irvine Meadow XI FC in their third pre-season friendly fixture.

The sides last me a couple of seasons ago at Thomson Park in a Scottish Junior Cup tie with Meadow coming out on top despite having their star player at the time, Ritchie Barr sent off.

24/07/14 - Lochee run out comfortable winners...

Lochee United kept up their pre-season winning streak as they secured a comfortable 6-2 against local amateur side Fintry Athletic at Thomson Park on Wednesday night.

With the Bluebells leading 2-0 at halftime, the hosts stretched their lead in the second half against Fintry Athletic, a side who replaced Dundee FC U20s in the original fixture, by scoring a further four goals.
