16th November 2018 Tayport v Lochee United

Lochee United are back on league duty this Saturday when we make the short journey over the Tay to meet old rivals Tayport. We have had many a battle over the years and tomorrow will not be any different. They started the season well but went off the rails a wee bit over the last couple of weeks resulting in manager Charlie King resigning after losing at home in the Scottish Cup to Rossvale. They have played 10 league games winning four of the five played at home which is a decent record although their away form has not been as good. Tayport have now brought in experienced manager Stevie Kay who has successfully managed a number of clubs in Fife and this should have an effect on the players who will want to prove they are good enough to play at the club under him. A new manager always gives the club a lift for his first game, add in the rivalry between the clubs and it should be a game and a half. Lochee have Birse back in the squad after serving his one match suspension last week plus Deasley is also added. Missing the match is Alan Tulleth who has had no luck since joining the club from Tayport, his knee injury is going to keep him out for a wee while yet. Kevin Buchan is working his way back to fitness and it will not be long before he is playing. Danny Millar is training but still a couple of weeks away from playing. The game kicks off at 1.45pm
