3rd February 2018 Lochee Unlucky

Lochee United were very unlucky not to take something from today's home match v Bonnyrigg Rose. A mistake on 35 minutes allowed the visitors to take the lead after Currie swung over a high ball. Stewart dropped the ball and Gray stepped in to sweep the ball home. The score remained 1-0 to the end of the half. Lochee stepped up a gear in the second period and were pressing and testing Bonnyrigg all over the pitch. After a long ball is cleared up field deep into the Lochee half another poor mistake cost Lochee dear allowing McIntosh to slip the ball home to put the visitors 2-0 ahead. The home side kept at it and were rewarded when Cameron crossed for McComiskie to glance home a cracking effort to pull us back into the game. Lochee then had what looked like a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside.Lochee were well in command and only resolute defending were keeping us at bay.Two good efforts in the last few minutes were both cleared off the line. Final score 1-2 to Bonnyrigg. A very good performance which deserved something from the game. Well done players and management.
