Lochee went into this Superleague fixture looking to maintain their 8 game unbeaten run in all competitions when they visited Central Park, home of Kelty Hearts.
Only one change from the team that beat MaryHill last Saturday, striker Middleton replacing the injured Blackwood upfront.
Things started off well for both teams, Lochee having more of the possesion. Couple of chances came Lochee's way and it was Lochee that eventually took the lead on 16mins. Fine work down the right handside saw Middleton cross the ball for his striking partner Voigt to header the ball into the bottom corner of the net,0-1. On 20mins Kelty thought they had equalized but the ball was headed off the line by Lochee's Alexander. On 34mins Kelty did eventually equalize when a poor clearence from Ross in the Lochee goal saw Kelty gather the ball and score,1-1. On 40mins Lochee should of retaken the lead but for a fine one-handed terrific save from the Kelty goalie from a Middleton twist and point blank shot. Lochee's Robertson also had a shot brush past the outside of the post. Then bang on halftime Kelty took the lead after play down the right saw their player round Ross in the goal and put the ball into an empty net,2-1 to end the half.
Second half Lochee pressed and Kelty were reduced to 10 men when a two footed challange on Voigt just outside the box saw the Kelty defender sent off. The resulting free-kick was shot at the Kelty wall, with the ball rebounding into the air, Lochee's Middleton took his chance with a scissor/overhead kick and the ball rattled the back of the net for the equalizer,2-2. Moments later Kelty again retook the lead via sloppy Lochee defending,3-2. On 65mins Voigt slammed home what he and everyone in the ground thought was Lochee's equalizer...only for the female linesman to rule the goal offside! Shocking decision was the words of many watching from both sets of fans.
On 71mins Lochee did score for the third time when Robertsons cross found the head of Middleton who hit the back of the net,3-3. Some game up to now, back and forward for both teams. On 74mins Kelty again retook the lead when the other farside linesman signalled the ball had crossed the Lochee goaline to the disgust of the whole Lochee team and the jubilation of the opposition,4-3. As Lochee pushed high up the field for another equalizer, Kelty broke two on one deep into injurytime, and walked the ball into Lochee's net for the fifth,5-3 FT.
What a game for the neutral spectator, great game for the home fans, poor showing for the away ones!!! Both teams were amazed, along with the whole support of the shocking decisions being given out by the match officials to both sides. Probably the worst i've ever seen in the middle of the park. Add that to the shocking scenes from the home dugout at every decision that went against them, it was a bad day for Lochee and for football supporters. You would of thought with Kelty being down to 10 men they would maybe buckle and Lochee dominate....wrong Kelty grew stronger and dominated the middle of the park even more so. Far more possesion and play in the second half that should of never happened. Several Lochee players posted missing and well out of position and depth today.
Man oh the Match oot oh a poor second half bunch goes to Gary Middleton, never gave up, chased everything and scored two great goals and could of had a third.

Interesting game yesterday with all eyes on the inept performance of the officials.
From the first whistle it was more than obvious the wee girl who looked about 14 was way out her depth, thank goodness she was only an assistant referee otherwise I shudder to think how much more damage she could have done.
From a Lochee point of view I think we threw away the points with some poor defending, poor finishing and extremely bad decisions from the three baddies in the black!!!!!
To the players..... put this behind you.... BIGGEST game of the season next Saturday let's concentrate on making the semi's !!!!!

I see after reading the Courier, that our friends at DC Thomson have us in a different position than we actually are in the SuperLeague!!! 
They have us having played 11 games(correct), winning 4(correct), drawn 2(correct) and only losing 1(worng! lost 5) and they only have us scoring 7 and conceding 24 when we have actually scored 17 and conceded 24. If you take some of the match report...then you'd think they'd take the league tables statts too!!!
Ah well, one can only try i suppose
