Lochee United were denied the win today after Hill of Beath drew level with an 88th minute penalty. The home side had controlled the game and went in front on the 12th minute following a Danny Millar back post header.
A couple of minutes later Greg Kirk was unlucky with his effort which the keeper did well to save. The second goal looked to be on its way but the Haws managed to snatch an equaliser with a header from a cross ball which caught Stewart in the Lochee goal in no mans land.Second half Lochee were in control looking for that second goal it came via the penalty spot after Bryan Deasley had been brought down in the box.
Deasley swept home the resultant penalty to put Lochee 2-1 ahead. Three minutes later McComiskie received his second yellow card for a very soft foul and was sent off. This left Lochee with 10 men for the last 30 minutes. Hill of Beath had a wee lift from that decision and tried to get back into the game.
However they were lucky when a Deasley 25 yarder crashed off the bar and away for a goal kick. With the minutes ticking away it looked like the win was on the cards only for a slack bit of defending with a poor challenge by Whitehead resulting in the penalty for the visitors. Well taken penalty giving the Haws the draw. Overall not a bad performance but mistakes cost us the three points.
