Lochee United picked up another win on the road against a stuffy Arbroath Vics. Despite having the majority of the play and creating some good chances it was the Vics who went ahead with 25 minutes played. A corner kick was not cleared and Arbroath’s McLeod buried his effort into the bottom right hand corner giving Josh Gorton no chance. We continued to squander chances but Danny Cavanagh squared the match on 42 minutes with a sweeping effort passed Lyall in the Vics goal.

Second half was much of the same with Lochee dominant in possession. Keeper Lyall in the Vics goal who had a number of good saves in the first half continued his form into the second period along with his defenders who were battling for the result. Cavanagh came to the rescue when a mixed up in the Vics box left Danny with an easy tap in to secure the points for Lochee.

Not an easy win despite having the majority of the ball but a win is a win. Credit to the Vics they have some good young players who like the rest of their team gave their all. Well done management and players. Man of the Match goes to Greg Kirk who despite his years he produced some lovely touches and kept his teamates at it.
