A well deserved 4-1 win today against Bridge of Don Thistle at the Chris Anderson Stadium. A penalty on ten minutes awarded after Kevin Milne was taken out which Grant Lawson smashed home to give us an early lead. We huffed and puffed after that and lost an equaliser on twenty eight minutes after Grant Adam touched the ball onto the bar but the rebound was knocked home for the home side. Very little to write home about after that and it stayed 1-1 till the halftime whistle.
Good start to the second half saw Ross Gallacher slide the ball home past a helpless goalkeeper after he was played in by Scot McComiskie on forty eight minutes. Despite controlling the game from there on in we had to wait until the eighty third minute for our third goal. Good work down the left from George Johnston ended when Kev Milne met his perfect cutback to flick the ball home. Final minute and another fantastic run down the right from Danny Cavanagh who delivered a perfect ball across the face of the goal for George Johnston to slam it home for a well deserved 4-1 victory.
Not the best performance but we worked hard throughout the ninety minutes. Some nasty late challenges resulted in a few injuries but despite that the guys were well in control with Adam in our goal not having a save to make.
Well done players and management. My man of the match goes to Kevin Milne who worked his socks off for the whole match.
