Recap

Lochee United finally laid the Craigie hoodoo to rest with a very well deserved 1-0 win at Craigie Park today. The opening few minutes saw Craigie take the game to Lochee but the Chee settled in and soon had the game under control. The only goal of the game came from Kevin Milne who chased a long ball down, Craigie goalie Dunn ran out to clear the ball but Milne blocked his clearance and ran on to slip the ball into the net. At that point we were well worth the lead. Lochee were in control and were unlucky when Gallacher unleashed a tremendous strike only to see Dunn manage to push it over the bar. Halftime 0-1 to the Chee

Second half saw Lochee United keep control of the game and were very unlucky not to go two up after a Cavanagh cracked one in but this was cleared off the Craigie line, the rebound was headered back in but this was also cleared off the line. A couple of minutes after that Kev Milne turns just on the edge of the box and his effort comes back of the post. Lochee then have one hit the bar and away for a goal kick.

Grant Adam in the Lochee goal had very little to do especially in the second half. Overall a very deserved win with every player doing well. Young Luke Graham had probably his best game for the Chee, Paul Scobie once again proving he is a top player but for me our longest most experienced player Greg Kirk is man of the match. In only his second game of the season he showed what we have been missing.

Well done players and management.
