Lochee Utd v Dundee Violet Match Report

Lochee United lost their last pre-season match 2-1 tonight against Dundee FC development side. The Dees scored inside two minutes of the start losing a sloppy goal at the back post. From there Lochee eventually took control and it was no surprise when Kevin Milne equalised although it had a wee bit of luck about it as well. That was the way the scored stayed until halftime despite Lochee having a few more chances. Second half was only a couple of minutes old when Ewan Murray scored peach from a free kick on the edge of the box to make it 2-1 to the Dees. With numerous changes we never got going in the second half and the young Dundee side were well worth their win only a couple of good saves from Josh Gorton kept the score at two. Well done Dundee, on to the real stuff on Saturday when we kick off the league with a visit from Arbroath Vics. The game here at Thomson Park has ended 0 – 0, with Lochee putting constant pressure on Dundee Violets goal but unable to convert. Kevin Milne’s sending off added to Lochee’s frustration as Dundee Violet played for the draw. Good Luck the Violet on the rest of their season.
